The evaluation homomorphisms from the Yangian \(Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) to the universal enveloping algebra \(U(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) allow one to regard the irreducible finite-dimensional representations \(L(\lambda)\) of \(\mathfrak{gl}_n\) as Yangian modules [cf. \textit{A. Molev, M. Nazarov} and \textit{G. Olshanskiĭ}, Russ. Math. Surv. 51, 205--282 (1996; Zbl 0876.17014)]. In this paper the author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for irreducibility of tensor products \(L(\lambda)\otimes L(\mu)\) of two Yangian evaluation modules in terms of the highest weights \(\lambda\) and \(\mu\). The irreducibility criterion for multiple tensor products can be obtained by using the so-called binary property [\textit{M. Nazarov} and \textit{V. Tarasov}, Duke. Math. J. 112, 343--378 (2002; Zbl 1027.17013)].
