The Jordan decomposition with respect to \(R\) (\(R\) is an integrally closed Noetherian integral domain with perfect field of quotients \(K)\) is studied. The existence of a Jorden decomposition for orders to Hochschild cohomology is discussed. Local global principles for Jordan cohomology are derived. Cases of orders contained in Mat\((2,K)\) and of orders generated by a single element are compared. A procedure is developed to compute the semisimple part of a matrix in Mat\((n,K)\). An example of Hochschild cohomology is discussed.
