The author investigates the algebraic and topological structure of in general indefinite inner product spaces \(E,(\cdot,\cdot)\). He gives an inner characterization for the topological structure of \(E,(\cdot,\cdot)\) to be a pseudo-Krein and pre-Krein space, respectively. The results are illustrated by some examples.
