The authors propose a numerical iteration scheme to calculate the bifurcations of homoclinic orbits. The homoclinic solution is parametrized by polar coordinates and the differential equation is replaced by an integral equation along the solution. The equations are solved by a Newton-type iteration for the Fourier coefficients of the orbit. A numerical example shows good agreement of the proposed method with a numerical integration.
