One may say that this paper is another introduction to applications of elementary submodels to topology. It is clearly intended to, and succeeds at, providing the basics for a reader interested in understanding proofs using elementary submodels. A nice proof is included that network-weight is equal to weight for compact spaces. A more advanced topic, briefly discussed, is that of internally approachable models and \(V_\kappa\)-like models. The final section reminds the reader of Bandlow's approach of using elementary submodels to define an equivalence relation, thereby a quotient space, of a compact space.
