This paper obtains an error bound in the large time step Glimm difference approximation to the solution of an initial value problem for a single conservation law with convex flux. It describes the Glimm scheme and then derives the error estimate for much larger Courant numbes for a generic class of piecewise constant initial data; the result is indeed analogous to that given earlier for the classical Glimm scheme.
