Regularization of atomic Schrödinger operators with magnetic field (Q1894823): Difference between revisions

We show that an extended Kustaanheimo-Stiefel transform, that does not only act on the space variables but also on the components of the magnetic vector potential, can be also used to regularize Schrödinger operators with magnetic fields. We use the result to show that the number of bound states below a given negative energy \(E\) agrees -- under the usual assumptions on the absence of periodic orbits -- up to second order in the quasi-classical limit with the zero field case.
