In continuation of a series of research papers, the authors deal with the structural discontinuities for approximating in certain optimization problems involving a nonmonotone impulsive motions. This subject is directly connected to the analytical mechanics in the Lagrangian description as well as to the control theory. The present paper, which is actually an extension of an earlier one, contains a number of useful fresh ideas relating to optimization. For many of the assertions, suitable proofs are also provided. Pontryagin's maximum principle is invoked in order to emphasize some of the related concepts.
