    The author proves the following kinematic formula for support functions of convex bodies. For arbitrary convex bodies \(K\) and \(M\) in Euclidean \(d\)-space we have \[ \int_{G_d} h^* (K \cap g M, \cdot) \mu (dg) = \sum^d_{j = 1} h^*_j (K, \cdot) V_{d + 1 - j} (M), \] where \(h^*_j (K, \cdot) = h(M_{d + 1 - j} (K), \cdot)\) are continuous functions on the unit sphere for \(j = 1, \dots, d\). Here \(V_1, \dots, V_d\) are the intrinsic volumes and \(h\) is the support function. The symbol \(G_d\) means the group of the rigid motions with invariant measure \(\mu\), normalized such that \(\mu (\{g \in G_d; \;g(O) \in B_d\})\) equals to the volume of the unit ball \(B_d\). The symbol \(M_k (K)\) denotes the mean section body of \(K\) introduced by \textit{P. Goodey} and the author [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 112, No. 2, 419-430 (1992; Zbl 0772.52005)]. Also a translative formula is proved for support function of convex bodies.
