The authors study the existence, regularity, and conditions for uniqueness of solutions of a generalized Boussinesq model for thermally driven convection. The model allows temperature dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity. They study the existence and regularity of solutions using a spectral Galerkin method combined with fixed point arguments and they need more estimates than the ones required in the classical case in order to handle the nonlinearity in the higher-order terms of the equations.
