The author considers non-topological solitons which are non-trivial finite energy solutions to the field equations, discusses the existence of spherically symmetric solition solutions, which represent a spherically symmetric region with an effective gravitational constant, and studies the conventional formulation of Einstein's theory. Moreover, the author constructs a dynamic classical theory of gravity by using scalar fields non-minimally coupled to the scalar curvature and establishes suggestive arguments pointing to the existence, stability and properties of soliton solutions of non-minimally coupled scalar field theories. The gravity (\(g\)-)balls and the dark matter problem over galactic and cluster scales are also discussed.
