The authors give a more unified presentation of several Poisson geometric structures over Lie algebroids in the context of Courant algebroids. They first show that a \((1,1)\)-tensor \(N\) (with \(N^{2} \in\mathbb{R}\text{id}_{A}\)), a bivector \(\pi\), or a \(2\)-form \(\omega\) on a Lie algebroid \(A\) is respectively a Nijenhuis tensor, Poisson, or closed on \(A\), if and only if the corresponding skew-symmetric \((1,1)\)-tensor \(J_{N}:=N\otimes e_{11}-N^{\ast}\otimes e_{22}\), \(J_{\pi }:=\pi^{\#}\otimes e_{12}\), or \(J_{\omega}:=\omega^{\flat}\otimes e_{21}\) on \(A\oplus A^{\ast}\) is Nijenhuis on the Courant algebroid \(A\oplus A^{\ast}\), where a \((1,1)\)-tensor on a vector bundle denotes a bundle endomorphism of the vector bundle. After recalling the notions of well-known Poisson-Nijenhuis (PN) structure, \(\Omega N\) structure, and Hitchin pair on a Lie algebroid \(A\), all formulated in terms of pairs of tensors on \(A\), they show that a pair \(\left( \tau,\sigma\right) \) of tensors is such a structure on \(A\) if and only if the corresponding tensors \(J_{\tau}\) and \(J_{\sigma}\) form a compatible pair on the Courant algebroid \(A\oplus A^{\ast}\). Some analogous result also holds for the \(P\Omega\) structure. Furthermore hierarchies of \(\Omega N\) and \(P\Omega\) structures on Lie algebroids, analogous to those of \(PN\) structures studied by Kosmann-Schwarzbach and Magri, and hierarchies of complementary forms are constructed. The compatibility between members of same hierarchy for these structures is then established.
