For a space \(X\), let \(CL(X)\) denote the family of all nonempty closed subsets of \(X\). The Fell topology \(\tau_F\) on the set \(CL(X)\) is generated by the subbase consisting of all sets of the form \[ V^-=\{F\in CL(X):F\cap V\not=\emptyset\}\text{ and } (X\setminus K)^+=\{F\in CL(X):F\cap K=\emptyset\} \] where \(V\) is open in \(X\) and \(K\) is a compact subset of \(X\). In this paper, the author shows the following results (1) A space \(X\) is locally compact and Lindelöf if and only if the hyperspace \((CL(X),\tau_F)\) is normal; (2) A space \(X\) is locally compact and Lindelöf if and only if any \(F_\sigma\)-set in the hyperspace \((CL(X),\tau_F)\) is \(\delta\)-normal.
