In this paper, the authors consider a hemivariational inequality for set-valued mappings and prove the existence of its solution with or without assuming the underlying set to be bounded. As usual, when the underlying set is bounded, some coercivity condition is needed. The existence results are achieved by using some known existence result for a solution of a generalized variational inequality.
