The behavior of solutions to the scalar linear integro-differential equation with unbounded delay \[ x'(t)= ax(t)+ \int^t_{-\infty} K(t-s)x(s)ds \] is studied, where \(a\) is a real number and \(K\) is continuous real-valued and of one sign and not identically zero on \([0,\infty)\). Sufficient conditions for the stability and asymptotic stability of the solutions are established.
