Let \( H_0 \) be the free Schrödinger operator on \(\mathbb{R}^2\), and \(H=H_0+V\) be its perturbation by a multiplication operator with the real valued potential \(V\) which satisfies the decay condition at infinity. In the paper show that the wave operators \(W_{+-} u = s - \lim_{t \to +- \infty} \exp^{itH} \exp^{-itH_0} u \) are bounded in \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^2)\) for any \(1 < p < \infty \) under the condition that \( H \) has no zero bound states or zero resonance, extending the corresponding results for higher dimensions.
