In this paper, the authors give some lower bounds on the Shelah ranks of sets defined by systems of equations, the coordinate groups in which are hyperbolic towers. Such algebraic sets, hence, are called tower varieties and they are important in the study of definable sets in the free groups. It is already known that any definable set \(X\) has an envelope which is a finite set of tower varieties and the generic points with respect to this envelope belong to \(X\). So, it is reasonable to study relations between Shelah rank of \(X\) and those of the tower varieties in the envelope.
