Summary: If \(P(z)\) is a polynomial of degree \(n\) having no zeros in \(| z|<1\), then it is known that, for all \(\alpha,\beta\in \mathcal C\) with \(|\alpha|\leq 1\), \(|\beta|\leq 1\), \(R>r\geq 1\), and \(p>0\), \[ \bigg\| P(Rz)-\alpha P(rz)+\beta\bigg\{\bigg(\frac{R+1}{r+1}\bigg)^n-|\alpha| P(rz)\bigg\}\bigg\|_p\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad \] \[ \leq \frac{\| P(z)\|_p}{\| 1+z\|_p}\bigg\|\bigg[R^n-\alpha r^n+\beta\bigg\{\bigg(\frac{R+1}{r+1}\bigg)^n-|\alpha|\bigg\}\bigg]z \] \[ \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad+\bigg\{1-\alpha+\beta\bigg[\bigg(\frac{R+1}{r+1}\bigg)^n-|\alpha|\bigg\}\bigg]\bigg\|_p. \] In this paper, we will prove a result which not only generalizes the above inequality but also generalize and refines the various results pertaining to the \(L_p\) norm of \(P(z)\) \(\forall p>0\). We will also prove a result which extends and refines a result of \textit{R. P. Boas jr.} and \textit{Q. I. Rahman} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 11, 34--39 (1962; Zbl 0129.29101)]. Also we will see that our results lead to some striking conclusions giving refinements and generalizations of other well-known results.
