In this article the authors search for examples of Kähler-like scalar curvature (Klsc) metrics, that is, almost Hermitian structures \((g, J)\) satisfying \(s = 2s_C\), where \(s\) is the Riemannian scalar curvature and \(s_C\) is the Chern scalar curvature. The paper concentrates on generalized flag manifolds, where examples are constructed and their classification according to Gray-Hervella types are completed. It is shown that the homogeneous spaces \(\mathrm{SU}(3)/T^2\), \(\mathbb{CP}^3=\mathrm{Sp}(2)/\mathrm{Sp}(1)\times\mathrm{U}(1)\), \(\mathrm{G}_2/\mathrm{U}(2)\), \(\mathrm{SU}(4)/T^3\) and \(\mathrm{G}_2/T^2\) all carry the desired Klsc metrics. (It is worth recalling a reference not given in this article, a landmark on the geometry of flag manifolds and the construction of almost Hermitian structures and their integrability equations. That is [\textit{F. Burstall} and \textit{J. H. Rawnsley}, Twistor theory for Riemannian symmetric spaces. With applications to harmonic maps of Riemann surfaces. Berlin etc.: Springer-Verlag (1990; Zbl 0699.53059)].)
