A constructive approach about the existence of positive solutions for Minkowski curvature problems (Q2064899): Difference between revisions

This work considers a one-dimensional weighted Minkowski curvature problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions. On the one hand, the novelty consists in the types of admissible weights, which are more general than in previous works in the literature, and, on the other hand, in the constructive approach used to give existence or non-existence results of positive solutions. Thanks to this approach, explicit bounds for existence and non-existence intervals of the involved parameters are given in some specific examples.
