A numerical solver for two-dimensional reaction-diffusion equations is used to images analysis. This approach enables the use of methods from shape analysis and particle size measurements. Euler characteristic, coverage and properties of each spot can be computed. This approach allows to analyse the dependence of patterns on the physical parameters. It is an interesting idea.
