The authors study the notion of deferred Nörlund statistical convergence of real sequences and deferred Nörlund statistical probability convergence of sequences of random variables. They also establish an inclusion relation between these two interesting notions. Finally, they prove a new Korovkin-type approximation theorem with algebraic test functions for a sequence of random variables over a Banach space.
