The authors present a unified approach in proving boundary Hölder regularity of solutions to elliptic equations. Assuming a sort of generalization of the exterior cone condition at a boundary point \(x_0,\) and solving the Dirichlet problems in a sequence of balls centered at \(x_0,\) the pointwise Hölder continuity at \(x_0\) follows from a quantitative decay of the solution oscillation obtained by combining the strong maximum principle with scaling invariant properties of the equation considered.
