An analytical solution of the nonsteady thermoelasticity problem is constructed for an infinite transversally isotropic medium containing an internal elliptical crack in the isotropy plane, in the case where an arbitrary linear temperature at the crack boundaries is specified as the boundary condition in the temperature problem. It is assumed that the crack surface is free from external loads. Stress intensity coefficients are obtained which depend on the temperature, the crack dimensions, and the thermoelastic properties of the medium.
