The author presents a new variant of \(C^1\) Hermite interpolation scheme. The interpolants constructed are piecewise cubic parametric curves satisfying an important comonotonicity property -- the spline increases (decreases) in correspondence with an increase or decrease of the interpolated data. The method proposed is local: a change in the data at the grid point is reflected only in two adjacent intervals. The approximation order of the constructed interpolant is investigated, under appropriate assumptions the method is fourth-order accurate. Finally some numerical examples are given.
