This article deals with sequences of partitions generated through multiscale substitution schemes in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) with \(d\in\mathbb{N}\). In particular, the author identifies a large family of such sequences which are uniformly distributed and include, as a special case, the well-known \(\alpha\)-Kakutani sequences of partitions of the unit interval first introduced in [\textit{S. Kakutani}, Lect. Notes Math. 541, 369--375 (1976; Zbl 0363.60023)]. The proof of this generalization of Kakutani's result is based on a reduction to path counting for the graph associated to the considered multiscale substitution scheme, which allows the author to exploit some previous results in [\textit{A. Kiro} et al., Oper. Theory: Adv. Appl. 276, 351--372 (2020; Zbl 1446.05042)]. Multiscale substitution schemes and their associated graphs were originally considered in [\textit{Y. Smilansky} and \textit{Y. Solomon}, ``Multiscale substitution tilings'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2003.11735}] concerning the study of new families of tilings of the Euclidean space. In fact, the article under review is closely related to the theory of aperiodic tilings, as shown by the numerous examples presented by the author, which include famous substitutions such as the generalized pinwheel or the Penrose-Robinson substitution. Furthermore, for Kakutani sequences of partitions generated through irreducible incommensurable multiscale schemes, the author provides certain limiting frequencies which relate the distribution of tiles of a given type and the volume they occupy.
