As is well known, the monoidal category is an important category in the investigation of Hopf algebras. In this paper, monoidal Morita equivalence is given by the equivalence of module categories as linear monoidal categories. The author introduces monoidal Morita invariants for finite-dimensional Hopf algebras based on certain braid group representations arising from the Drinfel'd double construction. As an application, the author shows that, for any integer \(n\), the number of elements of order \(n\) is a monoidal Morita invariant for finite group algebras. At last, as another main result the relations between the monoidal Morita invariants and the construction of invariants of closed 3-manifolds due to Reshetikhin and Turaev are discussed. Meanwhile, further examples and applications of monoidal Morita invariants are studied.
