This paper investigates the question which homogeneous absolute Borel separable metric spaces admit the structure of a topological group. It is noticed that analytic Baire subgroups of complete groups are complete. This enables to disprove the possibility of finding the structure of a topological group in some cases, especially in the cases of two older examples of \textit{van Douwen} and \textit{van Mill}. Using the hierarchy of separable metric spaces from the author's thesis, using decomposition of the space to \(\sigma\)-closed complete, complete, countable, and \(\sigma\)-compact spaces, there are found some sufficient conditions for an absolute Borel set not to admit the structure of a topological group. A positive result reads as follows. Let X be a homogeneous first-category zero-dimensional absolute Borel set that is homeomorphic to \(X^ 2\). Then X can be embedded as a topological subgroup into 2.
