The dynamical Mordell-Lang conjecture concerns the structure of the intersection of an orbit of an algebraic dynamical system and an algebraic variety. Specifically, the times at which an orbit visits a variety are conjectured to form a finite union of arithmetic progressions. The authors consider various classes of systems for which this set is actually finite, and provide bounds on its size. They deal with polynomial morphisms of the affine \(m\)-space \(\mathcal{A}^m(\mathbb{C})\) with the target variety being a hypersurface. Their methods rely on estimates for the number of integer solutions of certain polynomial-exponential equations, as well as results on the number of zeros of linear recurrence sequences.
