Secondary bifurcation for a nonlocal Allen-Cahn equation (Q2358715): Difference between revisions

The article is concerned with the Neumann problem for a nonlinear ordinary differential equation with nonlocal term, which arises in some reaction-diffusion models. It is noted that the initial value problem is equivalent to the Neumann problem of a perturbed Allen-Cahn equation with nonlocal constraint. The authors find a stationary point of the integral mapping under the general setting and prove the non-degeneracy of any stationary point of the integral mapping in the special Neumann problem. In conclusion, the authors describe the global structure of the bifurcation curve from the secondary bifurcation point.
