This paper is concerned with \(G\)-graded Picard categories, where \(G\) is an arbitrary group. A \(G\)-graded Picard category \({\mathcal G}\) has algebraic \(K\)-theory \(G\)-modules \(K_0{\mathcal G}\) and \(K_1{\mathcal G}\). For given \(G\)-modules \(M\) and \(N\), the authors show that the equivalence classes of \(G\)-graded Picard categories \({\mathcal G}\) with \(K_0{\mathcal G}\cong M\) and \(K_1{\mathcal G}\cong N\) are in bijection with the symmetric cohomology group \(H^3_{G,s}(M,N)\). They also show that this cohomology group classifies \(G\)-equivariant pointed \(2\)-connected homotopy \(4\)-types. The paper concludes with a study of the simplicial nerve of a \(G\)-graded Picard category.
