In [Elem. Math. 36, 16-17 (1981; Zbl 0447.10009)] the author proved that \((*)\) \(\sum_{d| k}| c_ d(n)|=2^{\omega(k/(k,n))}(k,n)\) for all positive integers \(k\) and \(n\), where \(c_ k(n)\) is Ramanujan's sum and \(\omega(n)\) is the number of distinct prime divisors of \(n\). In this paper the author applies \((*)\) to obtain an inverse form for the famous Ramanujan expansion theorem of arithmetical functions due to \textit{H. Delange} [Acta Arith. 31, 259-270 (1976; Zbl 0343.10039)]. The author also generalizes \((*)\) to arithmetical semigroups.
