A switched system is a system which comprises several subsystems controlled by switching laws. In the present paper, one studies the stability of linear and nonlinear switched delay systems with stable and unstable subsystems. After the derivation of some useful inequalities, one proposes some switching laws which ensure the stability or the exponential stability of the delayed system. Linear switched delayed systems are investigated with respect to their stability and their exponential stability. Then one proposes a new approach which uses delayed inequalities instead of linearization. Some illustrating examples are displayed.
