    The author proves approximate controllability for the following delayed semilinear control system \[ \dot y(t)=Ay(t)+A_1y(t-\Delta)+F(t,y(t),y_t)+(Bu)(t), \quad t\geq a, \] \[ y_a=\xi \] where \(y:[a-\Delta, b]\to X,\) \(X\) a real Hilbert space, \(A\) is the generator of a \(C_0\) semigroup in \(X,\) \(A_1: X\to X\) is a bounded linear operator, \(F:[a,b]\times X\times C([-\Delta,0],X)\to X\) is a nonlinear operator, \(u\) is the control function and \(B\) a bounded linear operator.
