Absolute continuity of stable foliations is a well-known useful tool for hyperbolic systems on finite-dimensional spaces in order to obtain connections to sets of positive Lebesgue or Riemann measure and to ergodicity. The present paper extends these ideas from finite-dimensional state spaces to Banach spaces. The authors consider an injective Fréchet \(C^2\)-map \(f:B\to B\), \(B\) being a Banach space, with a strictly invariant compact set \(A\), and an invariant Borel probability measure \(\mu\) supported by \(A\). Assuming a compactness property for the derivative of \(f\) the authors use infinite-dimensional multiplicative ergodic theory, thus establishing several theorems generalizing results valid for the finite-dimensional case.
