This interesting paper is concerning the Boussinesq equations (1.1) in the space-time cylinder \(\mathbb{R}^2 \times (-1, 0)\). The main point is to see how can be avoided a possible Type I blow-up at time \(t = 0\) -- see \textit{Definition 1.1}, by using particular Besov space. The new conditions ii), iii) are introduced to obtain a better regularity of the solution. The question whether the regularity of the system (1.1) is guaranteed only by the vorticity integral condition iv) is analyzed. The Schwartz class of rapidly decreasing functions, the Fourier transform, the boundedness on the Calderon-Zygmund operators, the Biot-Savart formula, the logarithmic Sobolev embedding are used. The regularity result for the temperature is based on the well-known blow-up criterion given in [\textit{D. Chae} and \textit{H.-S. Nam}, Proc. R. Soc. Edinb., Sect. A, Math. 127, No. 5, 935--946 (1997; Zbl 0882.35096)].
