Strict double diagonal dominance in Euclidean Jordan algebras (Q2427938): Difference between revisions

In this interesting paper, several results due to \textit{R. A. Brualdi} [Linear Multilinear Algebra 11, 143--165 (1982; Zbl 0484.15007)] on the eigenvalues of complex matrices are extended to Euclidean Jordan algebras. The relationship between \(H\)-property, generalized strict diagonal dominance, invertibility, and strict double diagonal dominance in Euclidean Jordan algebras is discussed. In addition, it is shown that the Schur complement of a strictly doubly diagonally dominant element with respect to a given Jordan frame is also strictly doubly diagonally dominant.
