Hardy type inequalities and Gaussian measure (Q2467096): Difference between revisions

Some Hardy type inequalities with respect to the Gaussian measure \[ d\gamma=\prod_{k=1}^{N} (2\pi)^{-1/2}\exp(-| x| ^2_k/2)\,d x_k \] are proved. The obtained inequalities are extended to \(R^{N}\) and are strictly related to to the well-known logarithmic Gross--Sobolev inequality. Finally, some applications to existence and uniquness of solutions to Dirichlet problems for nonlinear elliptic equations are also given.
