The author presents a generalization of generalized cluster complexes introduced by \textit{S. Fomin} and \textit{N. Reading} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2005, No. 44, 2709-2757 (2005; Zbl 1117.52017)]. More precisely, for a \(d\)-cluster category \(\mathcal C\) he defines the simplicial complex \(\Delta(\mathcal C)\) in the following way: the vertices of \(\Delta(\mathcal C)\) are (the isomorphism classes of) the indecomposable exceptional objects in \(\mathcal C\) and the faces are formed by the exceptional sets of indecomposable exceptional objects. Here, an object \(X\) of \(\mathcal C\) is called exceptional if \(\Hom_{\mathcal C}(X,X[i])=0\) for each \(i\in\{1,\dots,d\}\). Similarly, a set \(\{X_1,\dots,X_m\}\) of objects of \(\mathcal C\) is called exceptional if the object \(\bigoplus_{i\in\{1,\dots,m\}}X_i\) is exceptional. Moreover, the author proves that the maximal exceptional (i.e.\ \(d\)-cluster tilting) objects in \(\mathcal C\) have precisely \(n\) pairwise nonisomorphic indecomposable direct summands, where \(n\) denotes the number of vertices in the corresponding quiver.
