Let \((N,v)\) be a transferable utility cooperative game in coalition function form. Form the multilinear extionsion of \((N,v)\). Using the multilinear extension and in the case where \((N,v)\) is a simple game, the paper shows how to compute three well known power indices: the Johnston index, the Deegan-Packel index, and the Public Goods Index. The paper then applies these indices to two interesting real-world cases: the Basque parliament of 2005, and the Vancouver process for amending the Constitution of Canada.
