The authors consider the problem of classifying finite groups by their conjugate rank vector. They consider the special case where the vector has the form \((1,m,n,mk)\) where \(\gcd(m,n)=1\) and \(k\mid n\). They give detailed results for the case where \(G\) is soluble and give examples to show that these can occur. It is interesting to note that the authors do not show that the condition of solubility is necessary for the results to hold.
