    Given a non-negative lower triangular matrix \(A = (a_{n,k} )_{n,k \geqslant 0}\) and denoting by \(L_{p,q} (A)\) the supremum of those \(L\) satisfying the inequality: \[ \left(\sum_{n = 0}^\infty \left(\sum_{k = 0}^\infty a_{n,k} x_k\right)^q\;\right)^{1/q} \geqslant L\left(\sum_{k = 0}^\infty x_k ^p\right)^{1/p} \quad (X= (x_k)_{k\geq 0}\in \ell _p,\;X \geqslant 0) \] in this paper a Borwein-type result is derived for \(L_{p,p} (A^t )\) and \(L_{p^* ,p^*} (A)\), where \(0<p<1\), \(1/p + 1/p^* = 1\). It gives an upper estimate and a lower estimate for these two values in terms of the constants \(M\) and \(C_A^+\), defined by \[ a_{n,k} \leqslant Ma_{n,j} \quad (0 \leqslant k \leqslant j \leqslant n), \tag{C} \] where \(M \geqslant 1\) being the smallest value, and \(C_A^+ : = \limsup_{n \to \infty} \sum_{k = 0}^n (k + 1)(a_{n,k}- a_{n,k + 1})^+\) with \(\xi ^+= \max\{\xi ,0\}\). If condition (C) fails, then, by taking \(M=\infty\), the mentioned Borwein-type result is generalized.
