The (two-dimensional) \(q\)-analog for the Virasoro algebra was introduced in [\textit{E. Kirkman, C. Procesi} and \textit{L. Small}, Commun. Algebra 22, No. 10, 3755--3774 (1994; Zbl 0813.17009)]. In the paper under review the authors prove that every weight module with finite dimensional weight spaces (also called Harish-Chandra module) over such algebra, on which the center of the algebra acts non-trivially, is the simple quotient of a module, parabolically induced from an irreducible module over a Heisenberg subalgebra.
