Spectra for factorable matrices on \(\ell^p\) (Q2494161): Difference between revisions

The authors study the spectra of matrices \( A=(a_{nk}) \quad (a_{nk}=a_nb_k\) for \(1\leq k \leq n\), \(a_{nk}=0\) for \(k>n\)) called factorable matrices, which represent, under three necessary and sufficient conditions of Bennett, bounded operators on \(\ell^p\) \((1<p<\infty)\). The spectrum and the fine spectrum of the Cesàro, Rhaly and weighted mean matrices are determined. Some theorems of characterization of factorable infinite lower triangular matrices with nonnegative entries are established.
