Interval-valued fuzzy subsets of hyperquasigroups are characterized by the corresponding lower and upper approximation sets. Since the fundamental equivalence relation on hyperquasigroups gives the possibility to reduce the results obtained to classical quasigroups, this paper is in some sense a continuation of studies initiated by \textit{K. H. Kim, W. A. Dudek} and \textit{Y. B. Jun} [Quasigroups Relat. Syst. 7, 15-28 (2000; Zbl 0986.20070)].
