A generalisation of Clifford algebras (Q2534210): Difference between revisions

We define a graded tensor product for algebras graded by a finite abelian group \(G\) and prove a structure theorem for graded tensor products of the group algebra of \(G\). For \(G = \mathbb Z/2\mathbb Z\), the algebras thus obtained reduce to Clifford algebras [\textit{M. F. Atiyah}, \textit{R. Bott} and \textit{A. Shapiro}, Topology 3, Suppl. 1, 3--38 (1964; Zbl 0146.19001)]. The case \(G = \mathbb Z/n\mathbb Z\) was also studied by \textit{T. O. Morris} [Q. J. Math., Oxf. II. Ser. 18, 7--12 (1967; Zbl 0173.03501); 19, 289--299 (1968; Zbl 0169.35903)] and \textit{I. Popovici} and \textit{C. Gheorghe} [Rev. Roum. Math. Pures Appl. 11, 989--1002 (1966; Zbl 0146.42902)].
