Let \(G\) be a finite Runge domain in the complex plane \(\mathbb C\), i.e., a finite domain with connected complement such that every holomorphic function on \(G\) can be approximated by polynomials uniformly on the compact sets. Assume that \(0 \in G\). The Pommiez operator \(\Delta\) on the space \(H(G)\) of holomorphic functions on \(G\) is defined by \((\Delta f)(z):=(f(z)-f(0))/z\) if \(z \neq 0\), and \((\Delta f)(0):=f'(0)\). A new proof of a representation due to Linchuk of continuous linear operators on \(H(G)\) which commute with the Pommiez operator is presented. Let \(\Phi\) be a nonzero continuous linear functional on \(H(G)\). In section 2, the author characterizes the continuous linear operators \(M\) on \(H(G)\) such that the kernel of \(\Phi\) is an invariant subspace of \(M\) and \(M \Delta = \Delta M\) on the kernel of \(\Phi\). The representation is obtained using an explicit convolution product for an arbitrary right inverse of the Pommiez operator or of a perturbation of it. The last section investigates the relation between the two types of commutants of \(\Delta\) mentioned above.
