In the paper the spontaneous symmetry breaking and the structural consequences of degenerate vacua are investigated in view of a recently introduced condition of geometric modular action (GGMA). It is shown that in the presence of the GGMA, the internal symmetries must commute with the representation of the Poincaré group which is constructed using the modular conjugation. It is proved that any translation invariant vector state must be Poincaré invariant. Finally, rigidity of the GGMA and modular stability condition is satisfied.
