In this paper along trajectories of a oscillatory system, described by system of linear constant coefficient differential equation \(R(\frac{d}{dt})w=0\) is considered the quadratic differential form \[ Q(w)=\sum_{h,k=0}^{N} \biggl(\frac{d^{k}w}{dt^{k}}\biggr)^{T} \Phi_{h,k}\frac{d^{k}w}{dt^{k}}. \] It is shown that \(Q(w)\) can be partitioned in conserved quantities and in trivially and intrinsic zero-mean quantities. Besides the equipartition of energy principle is stated.
