In Weiterführung seiner Arbeit in Proc. London math. Soc. (2) 41 (1936), 393-407 (F.~d.~M. 62\(_{\text{I}}\), 278) beweist Verf. folgenden Satz: Sei \(G(u) \in L(-\infty, \, \infty)\) und \[ G(u)=O(e^{-\theta (u)}), \] wo \(\theta (u)\) eine nicht abnehmende positive Funktion derart ist, daß \[ \int\limits_{1}^{\infty} \frac{\theta (u)}{u^2} \, du= \infty \] ausfällt. Ferner sei \(f(z)\) analytisch für \(a \leqq x \leqq c\), \(0 < y \leqq \gamma\) \((z = x + iy)\) und stetig in \(a \leqq x \leqq c\), \(0 \leqq y \leqq \gamma\). Wenn dann die Funktion \[ F(x)=\frac{1}{2 \pi} \int\limits_{-\infty}^{\infty} G(u) \, e^{-iux} \,du \] für \(a \leqq x \leqq b < c\) mit \(f(x)\) übereinstimmt, so ist dies auch im ganzen Intervall \(a \leqq x \leqq c\) der Fall. Der Beweis wird dadurch erbracht, daß durch geeignete Abschätzungen und Transformationen gezeigt wird, daß die Fouriertransformierte von \(F(x) - f(x)\) verschwindet. (IV 3 D.)
